Sister Donna Knapper is currently the Chairman of the VFW National Home for Children’s Policy & Bylaws Committee, where she sat as a member last year as well. In addition, she sits on the Development Committee. She was also elected to the Executive Committee as an alternate member.
Knapper has been a Life Member of the Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post #1772. She was elected President of her Auxiliary the same year she joined and held that office until 2004.
Knapper progressed through the District chairs all the way to Department President. She also served on many Department Committees.
Knapper has received training to assist families and victims who have had severe trauma, as well as training in organizational and listening skills. She serves as a Trauma Intervention Volunteer with VICTIMS, Inc.
