Since 1964, Sister Chwalisz has been a Life Member of the William M. Gouse Jr. Auxiliary to VFW Post #3211. She became a Life Member of the National Home in 1990. Chwalisz has served many chairs in the Ladies Auxiliary, including Auxiliary President and District President. She is active in the Hicksville community as a Director for Our Lady of Mercy seniors, as well as being active in Columbiettes, Catholic Golden Age and St. Ignatius Catholic Church. She is retired as a partner and consultant for Construction Permit services. Chwalisz has three children and five grandchildren.
Chawlisz currently serves on the Development Committee and the Facilities Committee.
