Sister Joan Chawlisz currently sits on the VFW National Home for Children’s Program and Facilities Committees. Previously, she served on the Development Committee.
Since 1964, Chwalisz has been a Life Member of the William M. Gouse Jr. Auxiliary to VFW Post #3211.
Chwalisz has served many chairs in the Ladies Auxiliary, including Auxiliary President and District President. She is active in the Hicksville community as a Director for Our Lady of Mercy seniors, as well as being active in Columbiettes, Catholic Golden Age and St. Ignatius Catholic Church.
Chwaliz is retired as a partner and consultant for Construction Permit services. She has three children and five grandchildren. |
