Led by Executive Director Patrice Green and the Management Team, the VFW National Home for Children staff is comprised of more than 65 individuals who work assisting residents and maintaining the National Home as a living memorial to the VFW and its Ladies Auxiliary. Members of the Management Team can assist you in learning more about the National Home and developing strategies for supporting the National Home.
Patrice Green
Executive Director
As
Executive Director, Patrice Green leads the National Home management
team, including the departments of Program, Facilities, Finance, Public
Relations and Development.
Green has more than 18 years of experience at the National Home, having
joined the staff in 1989 as the Human Resources Director. In 1999
she was promoted to Deputy Director and became Interim Executive Director
in May of 2003. In January of 2004, the National Home Board of Trustees
appointed Green Executive Director. Previously, she worked for many
years in youth services, leaving her position in the State of Michigans
Office of Children and Youth Services to join the National Home team.
She holds a bachelor of social science degree from Michigan State
University.
Greens husband LRoy Green, a police officer, retired from the
City of Lansing Police Department and is currently employed with the
Office of the Secretary of the Michigan Senate. They have been married
since 1975 and have two adult daughters.

Molly
Studinger
Program Director
As
Program Director, Molly Studinger oversees the Single Parent Family
Program, Military Family Program, Veteran Family Program, Aftercare
Program, State Licensed Residential Program, Outreach Services and
the Ladies Auxiliary Nursery/Day Care.
Molly
holds a Masters of Arts in Agency Counseling, and is certified as
a Senior Professional in Human Resources. She has more than
nine years of experience in supervision and management, and more
than seven years of clinical experiences covering the areas of individual
and group counseling, drug and alcohol assessments, court advocacy,
treatment plans and case management services. She has worked
at the National Home since 2002.
Todd Marriott
Facilities Director
Todd
Marriott, Facilities Director, oversees more than a dozen employees
in the Maintenance, Transportation and Custodial departments of the
National Home. He also oversees water treatment and water distribution
at the National Home and holds licenses from the State of Michigan
Department of Natural Resources in Waste Water Treatment. He is also
a State Licensed Fire Fighter and was formerly a Licensed Paramedic.
Marriott is a 20-year employee of the National Home, having served
as a General Laborer, Maintenance Specialist, Advanced Maintenance
Specialist and Facilities Department Supervisor before being promoted
to Facilities Director seven years ago.
Marriott has been married to wife Patti for 20 years and they have
two children. He is a life-long resident of Eaton Rapids and has been
familiar with the National Home all of his life.
David Dobbs
Finance Director
David Dobbs guides the financial health of the National Home, including accounting, purchasing and budgeting. He began his work at the National Home in 1995, having previously worked for First of America Bank and the Olivet School District.
Dobbs holds a bachelors degree from Spring Arbor College and passed the certified public accounting exam. He married wife Sue in 1987 and they have two children.

Tim Smith
Development Director
Development Director Tim Smith administers all fund raising efforts by the National Home, including written and online appeals, planned giving and the Life Membership program. Smith also oversees gift processing and management of our donor database.
Smith has served the National Home since 1999, having filled a variety of roles relating to development and technology including serving as the leader of the Development Team before being promoted to Development Director. Previously, Smith worked in technology and sales for an association and major telecommunications company.
Smith has been married to wife Karen for 24 years and they have one
child.
