Learning about the VFW National Home For Children

THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO LEARN ABOUT THE NATIONAL HOME!

  • Call Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time at (800) 424-8360.
    Visit the beautiful campus of the National Home. Located in the heart of Michigan’s lower peninsula, minutes from the state’s capitol, Lansing, and nearby Michigan State University, the National Home hosts special “State Day” events, numerous tours and celebrates patriotic holidays with programs. You are welcome to join in the festivities. Call for details.

    Visit the Web site at www.vfwnationalhome.org, where you can learn more about what is happening at the National Home.  Featured on the Web site are the Home’s Programs and Services, National Home history, news and current events. You can also meet the Home’s Trustees and Management Team on the Web site.
    Contact the Board of Trustees for more information. By calling the National Home or by visiting the Web site you can learn about the Trustee representing your district.
    Contact the VFW or Auxiliary National Home Chairman from your Post, Auxiliary, State Department or District. The National Home Public Relations Department sends monthly updates to keep these special representatives informed about the latest news at the Home. Ask your chairman to share the updates with you. Read the Monthly Update. This National Home publication is filled with important events, activities and news. Updates also let you know how you can be involved and help with the Home’s vital mission.  Ask your National Home Chairman to share the Monthly Update with you. It is also available via the Web site at www.vfwnationalhome.org. You may request your own copy by phone or by filling out the request form on the Web site and receive it via your e-mail. Purchase a VFW National Home for Children DVD.  Call the toll-free souvenir line at (800) 424-8360 to place your order or to purchase other National Home souvenirs.

    The Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW appoints a National Home Director each year who visits the Home frequently and provides in-depth Director Reports to the Auxiliaries. Contact the Ladies Auxiliary headquarters or visit their Web site (www.ladiesauxvfw.org) to learn about this important position.
    Read about the National Home in the quarterly publication, The Patriot Observer.  Contact your Post Commander or Auxiliary President to obtain a copy of this informative newsletter and read about recent activities at the National Home.
