All of the good things that
happen as a result of the efforts of individuals, VFW Posts and
Auxiliaries across the country will be listed here by Post and
Auxiliary. Please use the Feedback form to tell us what you did
and what happened as a result. For example, you may have helped a
family by having them call the National Home Helpline or you may have
had a fundraiser.

Carolyn Olkives, Auxiliary National Home Chairman, reports Altoona VFW Auxiliary in Eau Clarie, WI:
- Had Press Release printed in Eau Claire's Leader Telegram on the Parenting Page
- Hung the poster in the Auxiliary
- Put information in "other" places
- Suggested we send materials like this to Auxiliaries whenever possible
[editor: Materials were initially mailed to Posts to share with
Auxiliaries as a cost savings measure - postage gets expensive.]
Sandra Bonner, Chairperson, reports that VFW Post 3447 and Ladies Auxiliary of Gaffney, SC:
- Put literature in recruiting office (editor: Great idea!)
- Handed out Helpline cards
- Hung the Poster in the Post/Auxiliary
- Published press released in the Gaffney Ledger and the Cherokee Chornicle.
- Emailed a national radio station for their help in spreading the word across their listening area.
- Told about the National Home by word of mouth to friends, relatives and co-workers.
- Suggested that if materials arrive earlier they will have more time for events.

Jeanne Dickson, National Home Chairman, Sr. Vice President and Historian for Ladies Auxiliary 9092 of Wellston, Ohio reports:
- Held a Life Membership drive that resulted in 6 new Life Members of the National Home.
- Displayed all information in the Auxiliary.
- Hung a poster in and displayed rack cards in the school where she works.
- Gave Helpline cards to her
school's guidance counselors, principal and assistant prinicipal
because they would know when students of a military family needs help.
- Materials were placed in the country courthouse, a retail store and various other places.
- One of their members raised my by bowling in a wacky outfit during "Bolwing for the Home Night".
- Had a Campbell's soup label drive during "Mm Mm Good Day"
- Held a 50/50 raffle.
- Held Game and Dessert Night fundraiser
- Raised 25 cents per drink in the Post bar for the week.
- Held a Karaoke night fundraising event
- Raised a total of $3,437 for the National Home
