just as brightly today as the National Home continues to care for
their children and families....
80 years
of children. 80 years of service. 80 years of caring.
The VFW National Home for Children celebrates 80 years of children,
service and caring in 2005! Thank you for taking part in the
celebration by visiting our special 80th Birthday Web site.
The
results are in on our $80,000 for 80 years fundraiser and we have
good news!
$138,690.49
was
raised through the birthday wishes of VFW and Ladies Auxiliary members
across the country.

The
Department who donated the most per capita is the Department
of Kentucky. The Department and Department Auxiliary
National Home Chairmen have been awarded an all-expenses paid trip
to the National Home as a reward for their hard work. Additionally,
a random drawing was held from each of the 1,456 birthday gifts
received and the winner is the Ladies Auxiliary to the Mitchell-Triplett-Smith
Post #7428 in Hoisington, Kansas. Congratulations,
and thanks to all who made this fundraiser a success.
