"I
can't think of a better use of my estate than the
Veterans
of Foreign War National Home for Children."
--
John Schaller, Jr.
John
Schaller, Jr. is a long-time friend of the National Home.
Born and raised in Detroit, John was drafted into the U.S. Army
Airforce in 1943, serving for three years in WWII where he was stationed
overseas in Burma until the end of the war. John worked as
a construction pipe fitter for 32 years in Detroit and moved to
California after his retirement in 1983.
A Life Member of the National Home since May 1976, John has been
a dedicated supporter. He decided to make an estate gift to
the National Home because it seemed like the natural thing to do.
He wanted to see that the children at the National Home received
the proper care and education necessary for future life.
"I
am extremely confident that the funds will be put to good use and
my decision will be the correct one," John said.
If
